Review of Planning Permission for Minor Building Works

Ver mas:

Francisco Canestro, deputy mayor of Ronda and Jose Maria Martin de Haro, councillor for urban planning have made a commitment to homeowners, local builders and architects to review the current system of planning permission for minor building applications. Their undertaking to make planning permission available for minor building applications obtainable within one day ensures an easier and more straightforward system. Whereas the old system could take anything up to a month or more to be approved, it should now be possible to apply for a Minor Building Licence and start the works the same day.

Exclusions: Minor building licences do not include works in excess of 20.000 Euros, and this also includes any renovation and building work on properties in the historic, old quarter of the city. However, licences for major building still apply under the old system and require an architect’s project of works to be produced. The project must be validated by the Colegio de Arquitectos de Malaga (College of Architects, Malaga).

The town hall’s new opening hours, and the deputy Mayor Sr. Canestro’s support and drive for a more efficient work force has facilitated this new system. The department responsible for issuing the licences, SAC (Servicio de Atencion al Ciudadno), will remain open in the early evening to deal with applications from persons that work in the mornings and are unable to attend during those hours. SAC offices have also been opened in different areas of Ronda including a new office which will open in the Barrio San Rafael by the end of the month of September.

Rondeños (residents of Ronda) who wish to improve their properties can now look forward to a much less frustrating experience when applying for a minor building works licence.
